euphoria The Movie

A few good friends, with no budget, link up within a week's notice on a mission to shoot an epic video. It's the end of April in Buffalo, New York. The weather is starting to turn, but it's not quite there yet. Me, Tommy Tette, and Yogi Josh all gathered to set up camp euphoria in a sacred area of the woods in Orchard Park. We scouted out the area, set up a tipi near a running creek, and started making magic.

We had a general concept in mind going into the day of how we wanted to lay out the scenes & what type of story we wanted to tell. With limited time & resources, we pretty much just started shooting scenes rapid fire, capturing as much as we could. Our thought was that we would rather end up with more footage than needed, as opposed to not enough. Once we started shooting though, we got into a really nice flow and honestly just had a blast. We shared a lot of good laughs, some of which you can enjoy with us at the end of the movie as the credits are rolling.

As you would expect, we definitely learned a few do’s and don'ts of shooting a music video throughout the day. If you're ever in a similar position, one mistake you don't want to make is forgetting a speaker. We had to play the song off my phone all day as we shot footage. You can imagine how much more effective a speaker would have been in setting the vibe lol

The team work on this project cannot be overstated, as monumental efforts were put forward by both Tommy and Josh in their respective roles. I'll admit, I put a lot of faith in Josh with giving him such a large acting role, and the kid absolutely over delivered in every aspect. Josh actually hand drew the euphoria logo that we used for the cover art + video thumbnail, as well as the colorful trippy characters that appear/disappear throughout the video.

Shot & edited by Tommy Tette, this project could have never reached the prolific levels it did without sensational efforts from Tommy. Watching this movie for the first time myself, all I could think was just how much of a Wizard Tommy really is. Tip of the cap to both Tommy and Josh for all their time and energy into bringing this project to life. THANK YOU!

As the evening arrived and the sun began setting on camp euphoria, we packed up, sparked up, and got out the drone to round out the shoot. We eventually rode off into the sunset like the spiritual cowboys we are, with the illuminating feeling of "good job boys" running through our veins. true euphoria.

Author's note: One thing that has always burned inside me, ever since I was a little kid, is the desire to be involved in film projects. To this day, it's still one of my biggest dreams, to some day appear on the big screen in a movie. I love the concept of turning an idea in your head to a visual reality, and expressing yourself in a fashion that provokes the viewer to feel something. I love being on set and watching people perform, implementing new ideas on the spot, switching up the angle of the shot, trying new approaches, etc. I am very grateful for every opportunity I've had to be an on-screen actor, or involved in film projects in any capacity.

and that’s a wrap
