It was a humid summer night, raining on and off, but the water falling from the sky did not put out the fire. A passionate performance was delivered to a lively crowd of about 30/35 people, as I had my first official live performance as Slip Fish. My set consisted of 7 songs, 6 of mine and one cover song which happened to create a very special moment for everyone in attendance. I will refrain from sharing what song I covered in hopes that it doesn't ruin the element of surprise for my next show.

But I will say it was very beautiful as the 30 of us all sang along in harmony for the majority of the song. I was lucky enough to be accompanied on a few songs by 2 of my Best Friends / Co-Collaborators, Just Kyle and raegen, who are both featured on my debut album (phantom of the aqua, UFO, and what we need).

While enjoying the music, yard games, and company, I had the chance to meet some new people, reconnect with old friends and finally re-live the amazing feeling of being on stage & performing. There's really nothing like it - the vulnerability, connection, and feeling of delivering your art in a form that others can absorb, nothing beats it.

Big Shoutout to my guy DJ Authentik for making the trip out to perform with me - his talent & feel as a DJ was on display throughout the set, which was highly appreciated. I must also extend a big thank you to my friend TopQuality (TQ) and the Too Skinny band for having me & allowing me this opportunity. Lastly, thank you to everyone who was present and shared this experience with me. I'm hoping to see some new faces again next year at the Second Annual Skinny Fest 2024 🎸
